Spending time with Grandma

Last night Olivia, Ellen, Rachella, and I spent the night at our Grandpa and Grandma's house with Christine, Dunc and Donnie, who were already staying with them for the week. I always think it is fun to get together with us cousins and Grandpa and Grandma to talk and have a good time, but spending the night is even more fun. I felt like such a little kid, packing my bag to stay at Grandma's and then getting there and snuggling up in the living room with blankets and of course, a roasting fire, and I mean roasting. We talked for a while and with our treat, settled down to watch one of Grandma’s favorites, a 1940’s film (it was quite good actually) - It was a really special night. So to top it off, this morning we all, plus Dan and Glenn went out for Breakfast at Budd Bay CafĂ©; scrumptious but filling. I am so thankful to be surrounded with people that love me and the Word of God which mediates each of us and enables us to be able to have a good time together.

On another note, after breakfast this morning my Dad took me to the DOL (department of licensing) to take my permit test, and, I PASSSED. I was so excited, and it didn’t even take that long, we waited for about 15 minutes and then it took me about 10 minutes to take the test; I got only 2 wrong! After the test, for a special prize my Dad took me to Starbucks and we both got a hot drink. Yum

  2. Ben and I took our permit tests together and we both missed two also, so you're in good company.:)
What a special time with your cousins at your Grandparents house. I, too, have the privilage of having Faithful Grandparents. We always knew when we stayed with them that we weren't going to "get away" with anything! If my parents wouldn't let us do it or say it at home, we sure weren't allowed at their house. :) Which, as you know, made it all the more fun.
Thanks for keeping us all updated on what's happeing at the Waters House! :)

  5. Congrats Bonnie!! I remember when my dad took me to take my test in "the old station wagon". Can't wait to start sending you on errands (just kidding...kinda) It is so so fun to get together and do things as a family and such a huge blessing for all your cousins and you to have the Word as a continual mediator. See you soon!

  6. Bonnie - We are certainly blessed to be surrounded by faithful people who love us and speak God's Word to us. I love the picture of your grandma with all of you. It reminded me of this scripture: "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." III John 1:4.

    Bless you!
