Quote of the Week

Whoever has been truly humbled will not be easily angry, nor harsh or critical of others. He will be compassionate and tender to the infirmities of his fellow-sinners, knowing that if there is a difference – it is grace alone which has made it! He knows that he has the seeds of every evil in his own heart. And under all trials and afflictions he will look to the hand of the Lord, and lay his mouth in the dust, acknowledging that he suffers much less than his iniquities have deserved. - John Newton

I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant... Genisis 32:10

  1. Wow Bonnie! That is a really good quote. It reminds me of "he who has been forgiven much loves much." In school, we have been reading the Four Loves by C.S. Lewis. One of the many that we were reminded of is that we have to have Love Himself come into our natural loves or into our heart for us to truly be able to love anyone. Without the Lord's love in us for the people around us, we can only love and think about ourselves. The great news is that He has given us friends, aunts and uncles, His Word and many gifts around us to bring us back to Him, Love Himself.

P.S. I've been meaning to email you, but feel free me if you get a chance. I love talking to you.
    Your friend, Miranda
